All roads lead to Greven … and from Greven to the world.
Greven is located in the heart of Europe. The city has superb connections to international air transport networks, as well as road and rail networks. All the main European business centres can be reached by air within a maximum of two hours.
Central location, outstanding infrastructure
Those working in innovative sectors, such as logistics companies, already know all about Greven’s excellent transport connections. The city lies right at the interface between West and East, North and South … from Antwerp and Rotterdam to Berlin and Warsaw, from the North Sea ports to the Ruhr region.
Greven is directly situated on the A1 from Dortmund to Bremen (autobahn junction 76), and it takes just a few minutes to reach the A30 (Amsterdam – Berlin) or the A43 (Recklinghausen – Munich). You can fly around the world from the FMO Münster-Osnabrück International Airport, just 7 km from the city centre. You can access the rail network (Hamm/Münster/Emden), and large amounts of cargo can even be forwarded by water (Dortmund-Ems Canal).
Investing in the future
Heavy investment means that the infrastructure will continue improving. The Münster-Osnabrück International Airport is set to get its own autobahn access, securing optimal transport connections for the AirportPark.
According to Dr. Peter Kruse, a member of the German Post Office’s board, the companies DHL and HSE24 decided to site their new logistics centres in Greven because “as well as the existing infrastructure, Greven is close to Germany’s most densely populated region, the area around the Ruhr and the Rhine and Main rivers. The city also enjoys good transport connections to North Germany’s population centres”.
